Learning Objectives

After completing this unit students will be able to:

  • Describe how HTML relates to the Internet and HTTP
  • Explain why CSS was an important advancement in web design
  • Create an interactive website using HTML and CSS
  • Demonstrate how website can be made from a variety of applications (e.g. – a text editor, Brackets, Dreamweaver, WordPress, etc.)
  • Connect the uses of photo-editing and web design
  • Justify the pros and cons of responsive design   
  • Explore other web tools, like Bootstrap
